Local communities move to the frontline of forest protection in Cambodia

This is a quick assigment I did for RECOFTC where they were documenting the project they manage about helping local people to patrol their forests in case there is illegal logging going on. The tasks they do is pretty dangerous, there have been several cases where there have even been deaths from the patrol side when confronting the illegal loggers. They understand the forest is their livelihood aswell as their children’s livelihood, the forest supports the ecosystem, the ecosystem feeds them and protects them from harsh climate change.
